Free Education Advocate and Volunteer

Starting in the Fall of '08 I've been teaching free classes on Free, Libre, Open Source Software (FLOSS) and Programming Languages through the Twin Cities Experimental College (EXCO), an organization with a mission that parallels that of the Free Software Movement by bringing free and "libre" education (rather than software) to the community.

Reconnecting with my past studies, university lab manager work, and conference presentation in the field, I team-taught a course on Biopsychology this summer ('09) through EXCO, wherein we covered principles of neuroscience and psychology through the narrative of the book A General Theory of Love.

In the summer of '09 I began to volunteer as an organizer at the administrative level for the University of Minnesota chapter of EXCO and volunteer whatever services I can muster towards their technical needs and Drupal-based web site.
